Mesilla Valley Transportation Solutions (MVTS) has released two test reports on fuel savings with two different BASF axle lubricants:
- BASF Emgard® 7148 XFE 75W-80
- BASF Emgard® 7103 XFE 75W-85
Test results for the BASF Emgard® 7148 XFE 75W-80 showed it improved fuel efficiency by 1.95 gal/1000 miles on a Freightliner Cascadia and 2.35 gal/1000 miles on a Peterbilt 579.

Test results for the BASF Emgard® 7103 XFE 75W-85 showed it improved fuel efficiency by 0.67 gal/1000 miles on a Freightliner Cascadia and 1.14 gal/1000 miles on a Peterbilt 579.
