MVT Solutions Certified™ testing found the Utility Aerodynamic Trailer with Eco Flaps saved 7.45 gal/1000 miles (6.61%). Testing was conducted on 2021 53-ft Refrigerated Utility 3000R trailers with corrugated sides. The Utility aerodynamic offerings are unique in that they come directly from the OEM, which could make spec’ing more simple. Secondly, the technologies include a 5-year factory warranty with the trailer.
Results for Any Carrier
Carriers can trust the test results are reliable for other tractor-trailer configurations, as they are not specific to MVT’s fleet. During testing, vehicles were configured to represent the current industry-standard and did not include wheel covers or tractor wheel side fairings.
