MVT Solutions CertifiedTM testing found the NextGen EkoStinger saved 5.72 gal/1000 miles (5.30%). An interesting feature of the NextGen EkoStinger is how it slides with the bogey, as opposed to trailer skirts where the gap between its panels and trailer tires change with bogey position.
Overall, the NextGen EkoStinger proved to be a definite fuel saving device, with greater savings than the previous versions, and a great alternative to trailer skirts. This is a product worth consideration for any carrier. Also, for any carrier that has concerns with trailer skirts such as ground contact or the effect of crosswinds on the trailer, the NextGen EkoStinger has even more potential to be the right solution.
